Sunriver Nature Center

My family and I went to Sunriver this past weekend. During our stay we visited the Nature Center. There is a bald eagle that lives at the center.

He's in a big flight cage, which means that he protected from other animals, but has the freedom to fly away when he wants to.

He stayed in his cage while we were there. We were only people visiting at that time - so he was quite interested in us, but wasn't too keen on having his his picture taken.

Black Bear Sighting

On our Montana trip last summer we encountered a Black Bear. Fortunately it was across the river from us - which my Mom said was plenty close! It was cool to be that close to the bear and we were able to snap a couple of photos. Unfortunately the one where the bear was looking right at me turned out too blurry to share.

Spore...

I've been a little preoccupied this week. Spore was released on Sunday morning. My Dad took me to Wal-Mart at 6:30am to get it. (Thanks Dad!)

I've been having a GREAT time playing it and have created a lot of creatures. I've been waiting for this game for a long time. It's fantastic!

Oregon State Fair

I didn't actually take this photo. My Dad did. But, in keeping with the KidzEyeView theme... I'm IN the picture - and the view from this ride was AWESOME.

I'm seventh from the right in the grey sweat shirt. My Mom six more to the right from me. She's wearing a blue shirt. (you can see us better if you click on the photo to enlarge it.)

My Dad can't go on rides that go around in circles. He gets sick... but my Mom and I really LOVE them. This ride was really fun!

Dogwood Tree

My Mom asked me to take this photo for her. It is of the Dogwood tree in our yard. I think this is what is left after the tree blooms in the spring and the petals of the flower have died.

Waterfall

I like the water feature we have in our backyard. I like the way it sounds, and the way the water looks running over the rocks. I like this picture because you can see the bubbles in the water.

Butterfly Wonderland

Last Sunday, my family visited Wings of Wonder in Independence Oregon.

It was cool. There were lots of butterflies and my Mom really liked all the beautiful flowers.

But my favorite part of the visit was the back room! There are snakes, lizards and my favorites - The Madagascar Cockroach

My Mom didn't like the back room very much!

Just me and my friend Riley in the backseat of the van on our recent Montana trip. Being silly and having fun!

Coco, the Cat of Utter Fearsomeness

This is Coco. She is Oreo's sister. They were part of a litter of nine kittens. All of the kittens, except for Coco and one of her sisters, had crooked tails. She has very soft fur and she isn't really fearsome... she's really just a "pussy cat"!

Oreo, the Cat That Sleeps

Yesterday was Oreo's birthday. He is three. He likes to cuddle and sleep.

My Mom, the Moose

On our recent trip to Montana, my Mom really wanted to see a moose. We looked on all of our driving trips, and during our visit to Glacier National Park... but there wasn't a moose in sight. So, my mom finally said - "Oh Look.. a Moose!" and put her hand on her head. I shot this picture of my "mommy moose" from the back seat.

I took this photo on our recent trip to Montana. Something different - from my point of view.

Skittles "The Skillet" Mulligan

Skittles is one of my cats. He is six years old. He is very large (14 lbs), and has a really long tail. He likes to lie on his back and have his belly rubbed. He really enjoys bacon, milk, and the occasional chocolate donut.
